At Ching Dental Care, we understand that some dental needs are more time sensitive than others. Whether you are suffering from a toothache, have had trauma to a tooth, or have another dental emergency, our team makes your needs a priority.
TOOTH TRAUMA
Have you chipped or cracked a tooth? Sudden trauma to the mouth, such as from sports or an accident, can severely damage a tooth, leading to pain, difficulty chewing or speaking, and more serious problems if left untreated. Our dentists take injury to a tooth very seriously and strive to help you keep as much of your tooth as possible when considering the best possible repair options.
ROOT CANAL THERAPY
Root canal therapy, or endodontic therapy, becomes necessary when a tooth is decayed down to the root. This leads to inflammation or infection of the pulp that can become a much larger problem if not cared for promptly. Root canals ultimately help save your tooth structure by removing the infected pulp and disinfecting the inside of the tooth. A filling material is then inserted into the space where the pulp once was, and a filling or crown is placed to restore the full shape and function of the tooth.
TOOTH EXTRACTIONS
Our dentists always strive to restore your natural tooth and prevent the need for an extraction. However, in some cases, a tooth may need to be removed if it has come loose, gotten infected, or become so damaged it cannot support a crown or other restoration. If a tooth does need to be extracted, our team will help you find the most beneficial tooth replacement option for your needs and lifestyle. From bridges and dentures to dental implants and implant dentures, our goal is to help you obtain the most natural tooth appearance and function

It is comforting to know that you’ll speak to a real person, well-educated in handling all dental emergency calls. Our concern and guidance will follow you every step of the way towards your quick recovery.
SEVERE DENTAL EMERGENCY: CALL 911
If you are bleeding profusely from your head, face, jaw, or mouth, call 911 or go to an emergency room immediately. A physician is best suited to care for your injury, and will most likely suture the area to stop the bleeding. When you can call our office (815.472.6345) to arrange for a consultation and/or an examination. If you think your jaw may be broken, head to the emergency room as well. We cannot set bones, but we can see you after you have been treated by an orthopedic physician.
MINOR PAIN
If you are NOT experiencing severe pain that would prevent you from going to sleep, and taking over-the-counter pain medications is helping to control the daytime pain, please call our office (815.472.6345) to arrange an appointment during regular business hours. Depending on our daily schedule, a same-day appointment may be available. Ignoring the pain, believing that it will soon stop, could potentially be life-threatening, exacerbating the problem, which is the reason to call.
